1. Shipping Overview
Wenzhou Dingzhu Metal Products Co., Ltd. ships custom casting products worldwide from our factory in Hebei Province, China. We work with reliable freight forwarders and logistics partners to ensure your order arrives safely and on time.
2. Shipping Methods
2.1 Sea Freight (Recommended for Large Orders)
Best for: Orders over 500 kg or large volume shipments
Delivery time: 25-45 days (depending on destination port)
Cost: Most economical for bulk orders
Options: Full Container Load (FCL) or Less than Container Load (LCL)
2.2 Air Freight (For Urgent Orders)
Best for: Urgent orders, prototypes, or small batches under 100 kg
Delivery time: 5-10 days
Cost: Higher cost per kg, suitable for time-sensitive shipments
Airports: We ship from Beijing Capital Airport or Tianjin Binhai Airport
2.3 Express Courier (For Samples)
Best for: Samples, small parts under 10 kg
Delivery time: 3-7 days
Cost: Highest cost per kg, but fastest delivery
Carriers: DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT
3. Shipping Terms (Incoterms)
We offer flexible shipping terms based on your preference:
- EXW (Ex Works): You arrange pickup from our factory. Lowest price, but you handle all logistics and customs.
- FOB (Free On Board): We deliver to the Chinese port and handle export customs. You arrange ocean freight and import customs.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): We arrange ocean freight and insurance to your destination port. You handle import customs and local delivery.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): We handle everything including import customs and delivery to your door. Highest price, but most convenient for you.
Note: Most B2B customers prefer FOB or CIF terms. We recommend discussing shipping terms during the quotation process.
4. Delivery Time
Total delivery time consists of:
- Production Lead Time:
- Samples: 15-20 days
- Small batch (10-100 pieces): 25-30 days
- Mass production (100-1,000 pieces): 30-45 days
- Large orders (1,000+ pieces): 45-60 days
- Shipping Transit Time: 3-45 days (depending on shipping method and destination)
- Customs Clearance: 2-7 days (varies by country and product type)
We will provide an estimated delivery date when you place your order. Delays may occur due to customs inspections, holidays, or force majeure events.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs depend on:
- Order weight and volume
- Shipping method (sea, air, or express)
- Destination country and city
- Incoterms selected (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP)
- Packaging requirements (standard wooden crates or custom packaging)
We will provide a detailed shipping quote as part of your order quotation. For FOB and CIF terms, we can recommend reliable freight forwarders with competitive rates.
6. Packaging
All castings are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit:
- Standard Packaging: Wooden crates with moisture-proof wrapping and foam padding
- Palletized Packaging: For heavy castings, secured to wooden pallets with steel strapping
- Custom Packaging: Available upon request (e.g., individual cartons, anti-rust coating, special labeling)
Each package is labeled with order number, part number, quantity, and destination information. Packing lists and commercial invoices are attached to the outside of the package.
7. Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, we will provide:
- Shipping confirmation email with tracking number
- Bill of Lading (B/L) or Air Waybill (AWB)
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Certificate of Origin (if required)
- Material certificates and inspection reports
You can track your shipment using the tracking number provided. For sea freight, we recommend checking with your freight forwarder for the most accurate updates.
8. Customs and Import Duties
Important: Unless you select DDP terms, you are responsible for:
- Import duties and taxes in your country
- Customs clearance procedures
- Any additional inspections or certifications required by your country
We recommend consulting with a customs broker in your country to understand the import requirements for metal castings. We will provide all necessary documentation to facilitate customs clearance.
9. Damaged or Lost Shipments
If your shipment arrives damaged or is lost in transit:
- Notify us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery)
- Provide photos of the damaged packaging and products
- Do not discard the damaged items or packaging until the claim is resolved
- We will work with the carrier to file an insurance claim and arrange replacement or refund
Note: All shipments are insured. However, insurance claims can take 30-60 days to process. We will do our best to expedite the resolution.
