Return & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Wenzhou Dingzhu Metal Products Co., Ltd., we are committed to delivering high-quality custom castings that meet your specifications. Because our products are custom-manufactured to your drawings and requirements, returns and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds may be accepted.

2. Custom Manufacturing Policy

Important: All our products are custom-made to order based on your specifications, drawings, and requirements. Once production begins, orders cannot be canceled or returned unless:

  • The products are defective or do not meet the agreed specifications
  • We made an error in production or shipping
  • The products were damaged during transit (see Shipping & Delivery policy)

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Incorrect specifications provided by the customer
  • Products that meet the agreed specifications but do not fit the customer's application
  • Standard wear and tear after use

3. Quality Guarantee

We guarantee that all products:

  • Meet the dimensional tolerances specified in your drawings (±0.05mm for machined surfaces)
  • Comply with the material specifications and chemical composition agreed upon
  • Are free from manufacturing defects (cracks, porosity, inclusions beyond acceptable standards)
  • Pass all agreed-upon inspections and tests (CMM, pressure testing, spectrometer analysis)

If products fail to meet these standards, we will repair, replace, or refund the defective items at no additional cost to you.

4. Reporting Defects or Issues

If you receive products that are defective or do not meet specifications, you must:

  1. Notify us within 7 days of receiving the shipment
  2. Provide detailed photos or videos showing the defect or issue
  3. Provide dimensional measurements or test results (if applicable)
  4. Complete a Return Authorization Request form (available upon request)
  5. Keep the products in their original condition and packaging

Important: Claims reported after 7 days may not be accepted. Products that have been used, modified, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for return.

5. Return Process

If your return request is approved:

  1. Return Authorization: We will issue a Return Authorization (RA) number and provide return shipping instructions.
  2. Return Shipping: You may be required to ship the products back to our factory in China. We will cover return shipping costs if the defect is our fault.
  3. Inspection: Upon receiving the returned products, we will inspect them to verify the defect or issue.
  4. Resolution: We will offer one of the following solutions:
    • Replacement: Manufacture new products at no additional cost
    • Repair: Repair the defective products (if feasible)
    • Refund: Issue a full or partial refund
    • Credit: Provide a credit toward your next order

6. Refund Policy

6.1 Full Refund

A full refund will be issued if:

  • We are unable to manufacture the products to the agreed specifications
  • The products are significantly defective and cannot be repaired or replaced
  • We made a critical error in production (e.g., wrong material, wrong dimensions)

6.2 Partial Refund

A partial refund may be issued if:

  • Only a portion of the order is defective
  • Minor defects exist but the products are still usable
  • You agree to keep the products in exchange for a discount

6.3 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 15 business days after the return is approved. Bank transfer fees (if applicable) will be deducted from the refund amount.

7. Cancellation Policy

7.1 Before Production Starts

You may cancel your order before production begins. A cancellation fee may apply:

  • If pattern/mold has been made: 30% cancellation fee
  • If materials have been purchased: 50% cancellation fee
  • If no work has started: No cancellation fee (full refund)

7.2 After Production Starts

Once production has started, orders cannot be canceled. You will be responsible for the full order amount. However, we may agree to pause production and store the products for future delivery (storage fees may apply).

8. Exceptions

This return policy does not apply in the following situations:

  • Force Majeure: Delays or defects caused by natural disasters, war, or other uncontrollable events
  • Customer Error: Products manufactured according to incorrect specifications provided by the customer
  • Improper Use: Products damaged due to improper installation, use, or storage by the customer
  • Third-Party Modifications: Products modified or repaired by a third party without our authorization

9. Warranty Period

We provide a 12-month warranty from the date of shipment for manufacturing defects. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by the customer.
